Lake Michigan - March 4, 2023

Seven club members targeted northern pike in a Lake Michigan harbor on a beautiful spring morning. Unfortunately, the pike were so mesmerized by the sunset that they forgot to bite. We threw everything at them, from live bait to dead bait, artificials, and even a hot dog! Despite all our efforts only one fish was caught—Dave Busscher caught a fat 28” pike that won him the outing big fish contest. Hopefully there is better fishing on the horizon for us! Our next outing is Saturday, March 18 and the location is TBD.
