Silver Lake - August 22, 2020
Nine members and two guests fished the the Silver Lake outing this past Saturday. Four boats launched from the marina on the south end of the lake and two kayaks launched from the public ramp on the west side. The day started out cool and calm, but ended up hot and windy.
We caught 18 largemouth bass, 11 bluegills, and 4 rock bass that qualified for a total of 105 points according to the club's scoring system. Live bait was a producer, with the panfish being caught on worms and quite a few bass caught on minnows. A lot of bass were caught that were under the 13” minimum size for points. Jason Cashmore won big fish with a 17" largemouth.
Our next outing is Lake Geneva on September 12.
